Police have released photographs of three suspects wanted in connection with the shooting in Beliatta, where five individuals were killed on January 22.
The Beliatta Police are investigating the incident, but three suspects remain at large. One of the suspects is identified as Mahagamage Dinesh Priyankara, also known as 'Chootiya,' a 35-year-old resident of Waragoda, Kahawa in Ambalangoda.
Another suspect is Nishantha Saman Kumara Dias, aged 50, residing in Yaya 4 Thambuththegama and Galpatha in Anguruwella.
The third suspect is Ranmuni Mahesh Hemantha Silva, aged 41, residing in Puwakgahawatta, Makandana in Uragaha.
Police urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of these suspects to contact SSP Tangalle Division at 071-8591488 or OIC Beliatta at 071-859497.
The shooting incident near the Beliatta interchange of the Southern Expressway resulted in the tragic deaths of five individuals, including Saman Perera, the leader of the ‘Ape Jana Bala Pakshaya’ (Our Power of People Party). Earlier, police had arrested several suspects in connection with the incident.
