Sri Lanka Cricket has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated 5th edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will kick off from July 1st to 21st this year, promising an exciting display of cricketing talent and fervor.
The forthcoming edition of the LPL will witness the participation of five teams, engaging in a total of 24 games throughout the tournament. The preliminary round will feature 20 matches, setting the stage for the final round, which will include four crucial encounters comprising qualifier 1 & 2 and the eliminator.
Each participating team will be comprised of a squad size ranging from a minimum of 20 players to a maximum of 24 players. Notably, teams will have the flexibility to include up to six overseas players, adding an international flair to the competition and fostering cross-cultural cricketing exchanges.
With the stage set for intense battles and captivating cricketing action, fans across Sri Lanka and beyond eagerly anticipate the commencement of the Lanka Premier League 2024.
