A science teacher of a Tamil school in Watawala in Hatton has been arrested for allegedly attempting to molest three schoolgirls in the same school.
Police said that the teacher had worked as a science teacher in the school for about 5 years.
It is reported that the concerned teacher tried to molest three 10th grade girls of the school and made them uncomfortable by sending them text messages.
The suspect teacher exerted undue pressure on the female students while they were sitting in the classroom for not repaying to those text messages. The female students have complained to the Watawala police.
Accordingly, the 44-year-old suspect teacher was arrested and to be produced before the Hatton Magistrate's Court.
