Excitement is brewing in Sri Lanka as plans for the highly anticipated Legends Cricket Tournament 2024 are set in motion, promising a spectacle of sporting prowess and nostalgia. 

The tournament is slated to feature revered retired cricketers hailing from approximately eight countries, converging on the pristine grounds of the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy this March.

The official inauguration of the Legends Cricket Trophy will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Thursday, February 15, marking a momentous occasion for cricket enthusiasts worldwide. 

The event will also herald the commencement of the Player Draft, adding an element of anticipation and strategy to the proceedings, with the distinguished international cricket commentator Farveez Maharoof steering the draft.

At the heart of the launch ceremony lies the grand unveiling of the tournament's prestigious trophy jersey, an emblem of honor and legacy within the cricketing fraternity. Joining the unveiling will be esteemed celebrity cricket legends, lending their charisma and expertise to the celebratory ambiance.

With nearly 90 legendary cricketers representing a diverse array of cricketing nations, the tournament promises a riveting display of skill and camaraderie. Seven formidable teams will vie for supremacy on the pitch, epitomizing the spirit of competition and sportsmanship that transcends borders and generations.
