A robber who came to a house at Yagodamulla in Minuwangoda has died after being assaulted by the residents at the house.
Police said that a group of three robbers entered the house at around 4 am today (11) with the aim of looting the property.
It was reported that one of the robbers was attacked with a sharp weapon by a person in the house.
Police said the robber was seriously injured and died on the spot.
The other two robbers have fled, and the Minuwangoda police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
