Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd., a consortium comprising Lakdhanavi Ltd., Windforce PLC, and The Blue Circle PTE Ltd of Singapore, has officially signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for the establishment of a 100 MW Ground Mount Solar project in Siyambalanduwa.
The signing ceremony, held today, marks the culmination of a meticulous process that began with the project's advertisement by the CEB in September 2022. After a comprehensive evaluation conducted throughout 2023, Rividhanavi emerged as the successful bidder at the conclusion of the year, securing the project.
Aside from overseeing the solar infrastructure, Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. will be responsible for constructing a vital 27.5 Km transmission line essential for the project's integration into the national grid. Upon completion, the transmission line will be transferred to the CEB, bolstering the country's renewable energy capabilities.
The consortium's investment in the project is estimated at USD 132 million, reflecting a substantial commitment to advancing Sri Lanka's renewable energy objectives and reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
