Tragedy struck at the Ambalangoda Fishery Harbour as a fisherman lost his life and several others were hospitalized after inhaling toxic gas inside a fish tank on a docked fishing vessel.
Police have confirmed that eight fishermen were affected, with one casualty reported.
The remaining seven fishermen are currently undergoing treatment at Balapitiya Hospital.
