Experts from the U.S. Forest Service went into the field with officers from the Forest Department-Sri Lanka as part of a collaborative, hands-on training to enhance law enforcement capabilities

The training, which received funding from the U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL), was developed over the course of three years with the Sri Lanka Forestry Institute.

Through collaborative efforts like this, we are strengthening Sri Lanka's capacity to protect its natural resources by combatting illegal logging, wildlife trafficking and other environmental crimes.
