The Additional Secretary of the Health Ministry Saman Ratnayake was questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) again on Monday for almost four hours on the controversial procurement of substandard human immunoglobulin vaccines.
Police said that Ratnayake had arrived at the CID following a prior notice to provide a statement pertaining to the incident.
According to CID sources, this inquiry was made regarding the purchase of 167 varieties of medicines procured under the Indian Credit Line including the human immunoglobulin vaccines.
