Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Buddhist monk at a temple in Gampaha last month.
Ven. Kalapaluwawe Dhammarathana Thero, 45, was fatally shot inside a temple in Gampaha's Malwathuhiripitiya area on January 23.
Four individuals claiming to be CID officers arrived in a car and opened fire with a T-56 assault rifle.
The monk sustained critical injuries and died at Gampaha Hospital.
Police found the torched car reportedly used in the crime in the Kaduwela area.
