The 30-year-old suspect who was arrested in connection with the torching of President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s personal residence in Colombo and stealing properties during the July 9th unrest last year, had been remanded till February 7.
Police said the suspect identified as a resident of Kotadeniyawa.
It was revealed that the suspect has been working as a laborer in a private company in Colombo and was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday (1).
He was remanded after being produced in the Fort Magistrate's court.
