Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) concerning the importation of substandard Immunoglobulin injections.
Maligakanda Magistrate Lochana Abeywickrama yesterday directed Rambukwella to report to the CID at 9 AM on Friday (2) following submissions by Deputy Solicitor General Lakmini Girihagama on behalf of the Attorney General during a court hearing on the controversial human immunoglobulin procurement case.
He was arrested after recording more than 10 hours of statement in connection with the matter.
