The trade unions representing the health sector have made the decision to temporarily halt the widespread strike action commencing tomorrow at 6:30 am (03).

The move comes following a fervent island-wide strike initiated by 72 trade unions within the health sector on the preceding day (01), in a resolute demonstration against the prolonged dispute surrounding the Disturbance, Availability, and Transport (DAT) allowance.

The decision to suspend the strike action reflects a potential opening for renewed negotiations and dialogues aimed at resolving the contentious issue that has gripped the health sector.
