Following a brief withdrawal from Independence Day rehearsals due to an issue with the organizers yesterday, the police and the Special Task Force (STF) rejoined the rehearsals today.
Police Spokesman Nihal Thalduwa said that the withdrawal occurred because the organizers had not clearly designated a position in the parade for the police and the STF.
However, after resolving the matter with the organizers, both forces decided to participate in the rehearsals.
