During the Independence Day rehearsal being held at Galle Face Green, a paratrooper was injured, and two others landed on a building when their parachutes failed to open properly.
Police said that one paratrooper has been hospitalized, while efforts are underway to rescue the other two troopers.
It was reported that the one chutes of two paratroopers, who were performing a double jump, failed to open, while the parachute of the injured paratrooper separated from him, resulting in a fall of approximately 100 feet to the ground.
