The police have apprehended a 54-year-old suspect and the jeep employed in the shooting incident in Beliatta, resulting in the death of five individuals, including Ape Jana Bala Party leader Saman Perera.
The Mitsubishi Pajero jeep used in the incident has been confiscated by the Hakmana Police.
Investigations revealed that the suspect, identified as Saman Kumara, allegedly orchestrated the shooting in Sri Lanka on the orders of the underworld figure Kosgoda Sujee and drove the jeep during the incident.
