A 22-year-old external rugby coach from a prominent Kandy school has been arrested by the police for the possession of 2 grams of heroin and 4,100 meth pills. 

The arrest, conducted by Alawathugoda Police in the Ambathenna area of Kandy, unveiled the suspect's involvement in narcotics.

The resident of Ambathenna had been employed as an external coach at the school for six months. Further investigations revealed that he is an Army deserter who previously served at the Panagoda camp.
