The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is set to convene on January 22 to address the proposed revision of electricity tariffs put forth by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
An imminent decision is expected during this meeting, and following the verdict, both the proposal and the PUCSL's decision will be disclosed to the public for a three-week period.
The PUCSL will then incorporate public feedback to modify the proposal before submitting the final tariff revision to the CEB. Meanwhile, the CEB, during a press briefing on January 20, affirmed that once approval from the PUCSL is obtained, electricity tariffs will be promptly adjusted.
