A hospital employee at Kandy National Hospital was arrested by the Kandy police after placing a mobile phone in a covert location within the changing room. The device was used to clandestinely record lady surgeons as they changed into their sterilized duty attire before operations.
Upon discovering the mobile phone, a vigilant doctor inspected it and found footage of her changing. She promptly deleted the content and reported the incident to the hospital administration, leading to the involvement of law enforcement. Subsequently, both the hospital employee and the mobile phone were handed over to the Kandy police for further investigation.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to a disturbing habit of surreptitiously recording scenes in the changing room involving lady doctors for personal pleasure. He claimed to routinely erase the recordings after viewing them. However, when the police scrutinized the footage, they discovered a specific recording of a particular lady doctor changing, and the suspect admitted to intentionally preserving it due to her perceived beauty.
The police disclosed that the suspect activated the mobile phone's video recording system and strategically placed it in the changing room.
