A landslide was reported this morning (13) in the area around Varadolawatta estate houses in 'Akanda' Grama Niladhari divisionin Badalkumbura Divisional Secretariat.
The Disaster Management Center (DMC) evacuvated 61 people from 21 estate houses in Varadolawatta to safety centers due to the identification of landslide characteristics before the landslides became active.
Safe center established at the Waradolawatta Sinhala Vidyalaya.
The food and other sanitary facilities needed by them will be provided by the National Disaster Relief Service Center under the supervision of Monaragala District Secretary.
