Nayana Wasalathilake takes oath as SJB MP

Nayana Wasalathilake was sworn in as the newest Member of Parliament (MP) for the Badulla District under the banner of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB). 

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena officiated the oath-taking ceremony.

Wasalathilake assumes the parliamentary role, filling the void left by the resignation of Chaminda Wijesiri earlier this week. This swearing-in ceremony marks the official entry of Wasalathilake into the political landscape as a representative of the SJB in the Badulla District. The move is anticipated to bring a fresh perspective and representation to the constituency.
