The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLFEB) said that a person who pretended to be a secretary of the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara and took money for employment in Israel was arrested today (5).
The suspect had taken money of Rs. 300,000 each from the youths residing in Galle, Boossa and Weligama areas promising agricultural jobs in Israel and he was arrested by the special investigation unit of the SLFEB.
The youths who were suspicious of the person concerned complained to the bureau and the bureau arrested the suspect when they were called to the bureau to record statements.
The SLFEB said that the suspect is to be presented to the Matara Magistrate's Court tomorrow (6).
The Bureau requests the public to report to the Special Investigation Division of the Bureau on the number 0112864241 if they are anu indivual who have given money to this suspect to get agricultural jobs in Israel.
