Wine shops and liquor outlets will be shut on December 25 and 26 in observance of Christmas Day and Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day, following directives from the Commissioner General of the Excise Department.

Notably, to accommodate tourists, approved star-class hotels with valid liquor licenses are permitted to sell liquor on December 25. Nevertheless, all liquor stores, including SLTDA-approved establishments with valid licenses, will remain closed on Poya Day (Tuesday).
