Ms. Gamage recently faced controversy when she was suspended from Parliament due to her involvement in a confrontation with two opposition MPs in the parliamentary complex.
Media reports suggest that Ms. Gamage is poised to play the role of a Buddhist nun in a film exploring the theme of Indo-Lanka relations.
