The Department of Examinations has announced a ban on all tuition classes in preparation for the upcoming 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.

The prohibition will be enforced from midnight on December 29 until the conclusion of the examination.

The directive encompasses a wide range of educational activities, including tuition classes, seminars, workshops, and other related programs specifically targeting preparation for the 2023 G.C.E. A/L exam. The strict measures are intended to minimize external influences on students during the critical examination period.

Scheduled to commence on January 4, 2024, the 2023 G.C.E. A/L exam will run until January 31, 2024, and is a pivotal assessment for students seeking to further their academic pursuits.

In the academic calendar, the first phase of the third school term for the year 2023 is set to conclude on Friday, December 22. This phase began on November 01, 2023, marking a significant period in the academic year.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Education has outlined that the second phase of the third school term for all government and government-approved private schools is slated to commence on February 02, 2024. This scheduling aims to provide clarity and ensure a smooth transition for both educators and students in the ongoing academic year.
