In a significant move, Sagala Ratnayaka, the Senior Adviser to the President on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff, has instructed key officials to provide immediate reports on the status and future plans of the Beira Lake Development Project.
The President's Media Division (PMD) announced that the reports are to be submitted to the President no later than December 15.
During a crucial discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat, Ratnayaka directed the heads of relevant institutions to prioritize the assessment of the Colombo City Beautification Plan, urging swift reporting on its current status.
