Tensions flared near the Parliament Roundabout earlier today as the women's wing of the National People's Power (NPP) organized a protest march against the escalating cost of living and the burdensome tax situation in the country.

The demonstration took an intense turn when riot police employed water cannons to disperse the crowd as they attempted to advance toward the Parliament along the Parliament Road.

The protest, scheduled for this morning, aimed to draw attention to the economic challenges faced by citizens, including the rising cost of living and the perceived tax burden on the populace.

Members of the NPP's women's wing gathered in significant numbers to voice their concerns and demand government action on these pressing issues.
