The Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the Kandana Police Anti-Vice Unit was apprehended by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) while accepting a bribe.
According to CIABOC, the police official was apprehended red-handed while receiving a sum of Rs. 75,000 from a local hotel owner in Kandana. It is alleged that the OIC had demanded a bribe of Rs. 100,000 to allow the smooth operation of the respective hotel without any unwarranted police interference.
