Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed his solidarity with the people of Palestine during his visit to the Palestine Embassy in Colombo today (16). 

Amidst the increasing conflict between Israel and Palestine, Rajapaksa discussed the importance of rejecting terrorism and finding peaceful solutions to the ongoing issues. 

Reflecting on Sri Lanka's own history with war, he emphasized the pressing need for peace, which can bring prosperity to both nations. 

As the Founder President of the Sri Lanka Society for Solidarity with Palestine, Rajapaksa stated that he has consistently supported the Palestinian cause.
