Traffic disruption on Southern Expressway

A disruption in vehicular traffic has been reported between the Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa sections (101 and 102 mileposts) of the Southern Expressway, due to a collapsing earth.

For those traveling from Colombo towards Matara, it is recommended to exit at the Pinnaduwa interchange and then re-enter the Expressway via the Imaduwa interchange to continue the journey towards Matara.

Vehicles heading from Matara towards Colombo are advised to exit at Imaduwa and subsequently access the Expressway again by using the Pinnaduwa interchange to proceed towards Colombo.
