The railway strike, which had been causing major disruptions to the country's transportation system, has been called off following a fruitful discussion between the striking Railway underguards and State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
The strike, which had been ongoing for several days, had resulted in the cancellation and delay of numerous train services, inconveniencing thousands of commuters across the country. However, after a series of negotiations, an agreement was reached, leading to the immediate cessation of the strike.
