The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) today issued landslide early warning for seven districts including Colombo, the Meteorology Department said.
They said the landslide warning was issued for the susceptible areas in Colombo, Galle, Kandy, Hambantota, Kalutara, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Matara districts
Accordingly, the Yellow and Amber coloured warning level one and two, landslide warning were issued for the respective areas.
As such, the NBRO requested the people living in landslide risk areas to pay attention to the following pre-landslide signs such as the development of cracks on the ground, deepened cracks and ground subsidence.
