Train workers have initiated a strike, calling for the suspension of a security officer accused of assaulting an under-guard.
The incident occurred at the Maligawatta railway yard during a dispute.
The strike is currently limited to trains operating from the Maligawatta railway yard. Discussions are underway with the Railways General Manager (GMR) to address the matter.
