Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa announced today that the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) will be conducting a tsunami drill along the South and Eastern coasts tomorrow.
He mentioned that the DMC had requested the Speaker's assistance in informing the MPs residing in the coastal areas about the upcoming drill. The primary aim of this exercise is to assess the efficiency of the tsunami alert system in the region.
