The Ministry of Public Administration is working to introduce a new set of rules to regulate and run all massage centers (spas) across the country.
On the advice of the President's Office, the Ministry of Public Administration has already commenced to prepare the regulatory process.
Prasanna Munasinghe, President of Ceylon Spa Association, said that the Ministry of Public Administration has reached an agreement with his association regarding matters such as regulating massage centers nationwide, charging them an annual tax, and charging a registration fee from those centers.
