In order to ensure the smooth functioning of ministries under his purview during his absence, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed four Acting Ministers, according to a statement from the President's Media Division (PMD).
State Minister Kanaka Herath has been selected as the Acting Minister of Technology & Investment Promotion, while State Minister Anupa Pazqual will serve as the Acting Minister of Women, Children, & Social Service.
In addition, State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Finance, and State Minister Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon will take on the role of Acting Minister of Defence.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe left Katunayake Airport early this morning for a visit to Cuba and the USA.
