AyurEx Colombo 2023: The International Conference on Traditional Medicine (TM), Educational Exhibition and Trade Fair,starts at BMICH yesterday

At the invitation of the Minister of State for Local Medicine, Mr. Sisira Jayakodi,under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena, it started yesterday(2023.09.08) at the Bandaranaike Conference Hall.

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, State Ministers Aravinda Kumar, D. B. Herat, Members of Parliament Sarath Weerasekera, Sudarshana Denipitiya, Yadamini Gunawardena, foreign representatives, heads of Ayurvedic manufacturing institutes joined the occasion.

 Its  a platform dedicated to showcasing the rich heritage and holistic principles of Traditional Medicine. This extraordinary event brings together renowned educators, practitioners, industry leaders, and enthusiasts from around the world to explore the ancient wisdom and modern innovations of Traditional Medicine. With increasing of the importance of Traditional Medicine to today’s emerging health challenges, it is time to exchange expertise knowledge, and skills among academics, scientists, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and researchers through cuttingedge research interventions and innovations. This initiative was taken to organize a ministerial forum focused on the strategic actions proposed for implementation in the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014-2023 which has been extended to 2025
