The vote of the no-confidence motion brought forward by the opposition against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, will take place tonight (Sept. 08) after a three-day debate.
If the parliament determines that Rambukwella has neglected his duties and undermined the quality of healthcare available to the public, and if it has no trust in his ability to continue serving as the Health Minister, he will be removed from his position.
The debate on the no-confidence motion began on Wednesday (Sept. 06), and today marked the third consecutive day of discussions during the parliamentary session, which started at 9.30 a.m.
