The NFL community has received heartbreaking news this Tuesday night. Mike Williams, a former NFL wide receiver, has tragically passed away at 36, according to reports.
Williams reportedly died from injuries sustained during an accident at a construction site. No other details are known at this time.
"Multiple sources have confirmed to me that former Syracuse and #Bills WR Mike Williams has passed away following injuries suffered during an accident while working at a construction site. The Buffalo native was 36 years old," Jon Scott of Spectrum News 1 Buffalo reports
Williams was a Buffalo native. He appeared in five NFL seasons (2010-14), and spent the first four years of his career in Tampa Bay before returning home to play one with the Bills.
Williams had 223 catches for 3,089 yards and 26 touchdowns during his NFL career. His rookie season was his best (964 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns).
