Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva assumes duties as Commander Eastern Naval Area

Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva assumed duties as Commander Eastern Naval Area at the Command Headquarters in Trincomalee.

The incoming Area Commander was received to the Eastern Naval Area in compliance with naval tradition. Subsequently, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara handed over duties and responsibilities of the appointment to Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva.

Upon taking on his new responsibilities, the newly appointed Area Commander addressed the Heads of Departments and Commanding Officers in the Eastern Naval Command. Prior to his departure, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara received congratulations from the senior officers of the Eastern Naval Command who were appreciative of his dedicated service.
