CPC and IOC have increased fuel prices with effect from midnight today 31st August.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) and Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) have implemented a new round of fuel price increases, starting from midnight today.
Among the revised rates, Petrol 92 Octane will now be sold at Rs. 361 per litre, reflecting a substantial increase of Rs. 13 from the previous price. Petrol 95 Octane has seen an even more significant rise, with a hike of Rs. 42 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 417.
Auto Diesel has also experienced an upward adjustment, with an increase of Rs. 35 per litre. The new price for Auto Diesel now stands at Rs. 341 per litre. Super Diesel, on the other hand, has only seen a marginal increase of Rs. 1, reaching Rs. 359 per litre.
In addition to these changes, the price of kerosene has been raised by Rs. 5, resulting in a new price of Rs. 231 per litre.
