The National Meteorological Centre's forecasting division has predicted an increase in showery conditions in the South-Western part of the island in the coming days, starting from tomorrow (28).

According to their report, the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, along with the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts, will experience several spells of showers.

In Batticaloa, specifically, showers or thundershowers are expected after 4.00 p.m tomorrow.

Furthermore, the Uva Province, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts may also witness showers or thundershowers during the evening or night. The public has been urged to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
