Sri Lanka will witness the sun directly overhead for a continuous period of 11 days starting tomorrow (28), according to the Department of Meteorology.
This occurrence is a result of the sun's apparent southward movement.
The Department has identified Kovilan Point and Mallakam in the Jaffna district as the nearest areas where the sun will be directly overhead tomorrow, specifically around 12:11 noon.
