B-Love Kandy emerged victorious in a thrilling match against Dambulla Aura to secure the LPL title.
The final of the Lanka Premier League 2023 took place at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
In a tightly contested match, B-Love Kandy managed to chase down the target of 148 runs with just one ball remaining and five wickets in hand.
This victory makes them only the second team to claim the LPL title, with Jaffna being the previous three-time winners.
Led by their captain, Wanindu Hasaranga, B-Love Kandy showed their dominance throughout the tournament. They secured their spot in the final by defeating Galle Titans in the Qualifier 2, triumphing with a 34-run victory on Saturday.
