Minister Harin Fernando and Minister Manusha Nanayakkara have taken legal action by submitting expulsion petitions to the Supreme Court. They are challenging the decision made by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to expel them from the party.
In their petitions, the Ministers are requesting the court to declare that they are still Members of Parliament and should continue to hold their positions as such.
The petitions were filed by Attorney-at-law Dinesh Vidanapathirana and Priyangika Jayawickrama of Vidanapathirana Associates.
