A person who shot and killed his wife committed suicide by shooting himself over a family issue.
They lived in the house with the husband’s mother and at around 10.30 pm on Monday her son shot her daughter-in-law and when the mother went out of the house to seek help from the Neighbours, her son had shot himself in the head.
Nuwara Eliya Magistrate Nalaka Sanjiva Weerasinghe conducted the magisterial examination on yesterday, and the magistrate ordered the Nuwara Eliya Police to refer the two bodies to the expert forensic doctor of the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital for post mortem examination and hand over the bodies to the relatives.
