Singer Umara Sinhawansa, who faces allegations, singing the national anthem in distorted manner during the opening ceremony of the 2023 LPL, has been summoned to the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs to obtain a statement.
Umara has been informed to appear before the Ministry today 2nd of August.
PM Dinesh Gunawardena has informed the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs Mr. Ranjith Asoka to conduct submit a report on the allegations against the Umara. Statement is to be obtained from SLC.
