The Colombo Additional Magistrate’s Court has ordered Cinnamon Gardens Police to arrest individuals allegedly involved in violating court regulations during a protest demanding the release of Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.
The order follows complaints over the unauthorised use of loudspeakers and the alleged obstruction of Colombo Municipal Council officials attempting to remove illegally displayed banners and posters at Viharamahadevi Park.
Magistrate Lahiru Silva directed Police to examine CCTV footage and video recordings, identify those responsible, arrest them and produce them before the court.
