The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has proposed a 1.46% increase in electricity tariffs for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The National System Operator (NSO) had initially proposed a 2.88% tariff increase for the quarter. However, following a preliminary review by the PUCSL, the proposed increase was reduced to 1.46%.

The final decision on the electricity tariff revision will be made following a public consultation scheduled to be held tomorrow (05).

The PUCSL stated that interested parties wishing to present their views at the consultation can register by calling 0770399119.
