Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara today (October 29), according to the latest weather forecast.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Uva Province and in the districts of Batticaloa, Ampara and Hambantota after 1.00 p.m.
Mainly fair weather conditions are expected to prevail in other parts of the island.
The public has been advised to take adequate precautions against temporary, localized strong winds and lightning that may occur during thundershowers.
